Cosmetic Dentistry

At The Dental Den of Allen, our cosmetic dentistry procedures focus on improving the appearance of your mouth, teeth and smile. Although, cosmetic dentistry is normally considered elective and not necessarily essential to your overall oral health, we pride ourselves on taking a tailored approach to each treatment.
The most common simple procedures in cosmetic dentistry include:
  • Composite Fillings – we blend tooth-colored fillings into the natural part of the tooth.
  • Composite Bonding – we apply tooth-colored composite material to a tooth then we shape it and allow it to harden before polishing it.
The most common more complex procedures in cosmetic dentistry include:
If you’re looking to straighten your teeth without the pain of braces then our Invisalign product may be perfect for you. Invisalign is a cutting edge method of straightening your teeth. Since they are invisible and can be removed when you want, you can go about your life without the worry that traditional braces carry (i.e. breaking a wire).  Click Here To Learn More

Dentures are a replacement option for missing teeth and come in two different options: partial dentures and full dentures. Full dentures are normally needed when:

  • All teeth are missing in the same arch
  • Chewing ability would improve with full dentures
  • A natural looking smile would come from full dentures
  • Full dentures is a good economical alternative to other procedures

Full Denture is a removable prosthesis of white plastic teeth in a pink gum-colored plastic base that rests on the remaining gum ridge once all of the teeth in the arch have been removed. It is important to know that dentures impact the type of food you are able to eat, your self-confidence in social situations, and even your self-esteem. At The Dental Den of Allen we always tell our patients that an upper full denture will almost always feel better than a lower full denture. In order to dramatically improve the fit of a lower full denture, we frequently suggest using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants placed in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly improve comfort. Sometimes, the implants can even be placed in the jaw after a denture has been in use for several years.

Dental Veneers
Dental veneers are made individually for each patient to resemble their natural teeth. Dental veneers are very thin pieces of durable porcelain that are custom made in shape and color. The veneers are bonded to the front of your teeth to create a realistically beautiful and attractive smile.
Dental Bridges
A dental bridge is a non-removable (fixed) dental tool that is inserted after a tooth has been lost or extracted. Dental bridges look like your natural teeth, for one thing, and they also don’t require the use of implants. Instead, they fit over what are known as “anchor” teeth, and work like your natural teeth do. The type of bridge, depends on your own situation and preference; however, the most popular is the “traditional bridge.” This is a bridge that has porcelain replacement teeth attached to a metal framework to keep everything strong and durable. This bridge can be matched to your existing teeth to ensure a natural fit, and is installed by attaching to two anchor teeth (each outfitted with a crown). Traditional bridges are incredibly long lasting and can work well for years as long as you take care of them. They may eventually need to be replaced, however, as time takes its toll on them. The process to get a dental bridge installed, usually takes at least two visits to our office. The first visit entails preparing your mouth for the anchor teeth and taking a mold of your teeth. Then the next visit is when the custom made bridge is placed into your mouth and adjustments are made to ensure a comfortable and perfect fit

Teeth Whitening
We offer simple and effective teeth whitening in our office. Teeth whitening is a non-invasive dental treatment that will change the color of your teeth that will enhance the beauty of your smile.

Dental Implants
Dental implants are used to replace teeth after tooth loss. A small titanium screw is placed into the jaw at the site of the missing tooth. Once the bone and supporting tissue fuse to the implant, they are permanently secured into place.

Dental crowns restore teeth that are cracked or decayed. A crown covers the entire tooth’s surface so that it restores it to its original shape and size.

Dr. Ward was very professional and honest about exactly what I needed for my cleaning. She saw me on short notice and was very friendly and answered all my questions. I feel more educated on taking care of my teeth and I would highly recommend her to anyone! Thank you Dr. Ward and staff! You are all wonderful!

Very nice office, staff was very friendly and Dr.Ward was amazing. After having a bad dental experience it was so nice to go into a office and feel so welcomed and having Dr. Ward doing my work made me so relaxed and was able to feel comfortable in the dental chair again. Will definitely be recommending Dr. Ward to friends and family.
